Java Software Development Cross-platform: works with all computers
Get a Quote

What AWS can do with Java:
  • Fully featured software suited to your business
  • Mini-menus for your site
  • Online games
  • Other website-enhancing Java applets
  • and more!
One of the perks of designing websites is getting to know a lot of different businesses. At AWS we have had the opportunity to develop sites for real estate agents, motels, publishing houses, museums, marinas and myriad other types of businesses. Often when we speak with the businessowners they express a need for software solutions customized to their business types. AWS is more than happy to help.

We can design Java applications for your business that can do pretty much anything. Java is such a versatile coding language that the sky is quite literally the limit. Here's a little more information on Java.

AWS Knowledge Base Information

Java is a programming language that is constructed and written much like C++, which is what Windows, Linux, and MacOS are built on, as well as many other applications such as the Microsoft Office suite and games like StarCraft. Like C++, Java is cross-platform, which is fancy terminology programmers use when they want to say it works on all computers, regardless of what operating system ("OS") they're running, be it Windows, Linux or Mac OS.

Java is heralded as the language that will bring the Internet into the home and interface it with all devices. Perhaps you've heard of the experimental refrigerator that can, for instance, tell when a family is running out of milk, order groceries accordingly online and have them delivered to the house. This refrigerator, when it becomes available, will use Java to perform these miraculous feats.

Here are a few more attributes of Java:

Cross-Platform Works on every operating system (OS), including Windows, Linux and Mac
Fully interactive with the computer Unlike Web applications, which for security purposes can only use some of a computer's resources (they can't do certain things like directly access a computer's RAM, for instance; that would compromise security and allow outside users to gain control), Java can interact directly with all of a computer's capabilities. It can run applications on the system, spawn "threads" of those applications, write to and read from system memory (your Random Access Memory, or "RAM"), and open and close ports on your computer that are used to access the Internet and networks. This allows it to create programs comparable to the power of Microsoft Word or Adobe Photoshop.
Software required Java requires additional software to be installed on your computer, called the "Java Virtual Machine." For more information and downloads, go to http://www.java.com.
